Welcome to the International Conference on Thermal Treatment for Resource Recovery, a premier gathering of leading researchers, industry experts, and policymakers dedicated to advancing the science and technology of thermal processes for sustainable resource management. This conference will delve into cutting-edge research on innovative thermal treatment methods, including pyrolysis, gasification, and incineration, aimed at converting waste materials into valuable resources such as energy, biofuels, and raw materials. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in process optimization, environmental impact assessment, and economic feasibility, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and networking. We invite you to join us in this dynamic forum to share your insights, discuss challenges, and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for resource recovery. Your participation will be instrumental in driving forward the global agenda for a circular economy and environmental stewardship.

The conference will be organized around subject areas of interest to industry, academics, agency/policy, NGO, and other audiences:

  • Advanced Pyrolysis Technology: Development and optimization of pyrolysis reactors and processes for high-yield bio-oil, biochar, and syngas production.

  • Innovative Gasification Processes: Enhancements in gasifier design, syngas quality, and integration with combined heat and power (CHP) systems.

  • Efficient Incineration and Energy Recovery: Advanced incineration techniques, waste-to-energy plant optimization, and emission control technologies.

  • Thermal Treatment of Diverse Waste Streams: Effective treatment methods for municipal solid waste, industrial waste, hazardous waste, biomass, and e-waste.

  • Environmental Impact and Emission Control: Strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, advanced air pollution control systems, and life cycle assessments.

  • Economic and Policy Analysis: Cost-benefit analysis, economic feasibility studies, and policy frameworks to support thermal treatment technologies.

  • Material Recovery and By-product Utilization: Recovery of valuable materials from ash and slag, and applications of biochar and other by-products.

  • Integration with Circular Economy: Role of thermal treatment in zero-waste goals, synergies with recycling processes, and development of integrated waste management systems.

  • Innovative Reactor Designs and Materials: Development of novel reactor materials and scalable reactor designs for diverse applications.

  • Digitalization and Process Control: Use of AI and machine learning for process optimization, real-time monitoring, and predictive maintenance in thermal treatment plants.
